Evelina was introduced to yoga in 2012. What began as an attempt to soothe her spirit in a time of loss and uncertainty has since evolved into a well of ongoing inspiration, growth, and connectedness to herself. She believes that practicing yoga is a primer for healing and maintaining wellness, and finds deep fulfillment and joy in sharing this with her students.
Evelina’s classes are governed by the breath. She will lead you through a challenging yet spacious vinyasa dance that walks the line between effort and ease. Her wish is to create a safe and inviting space in which her students can be their authentic selves and draw joy from their individuality and personal practice.
Forever a student, Evelina began her studies at The Yoga Studio in Magnolia under the guidance of Lee Atwell and Brooke Zwerner, who draw knowledge and inspiration from their Raja Yoga guru Baba Hari Dass. She completed her 200-hour apprenticeship at the studio in 2013 and has been teaching classes all over the Seattle area since. In 2016, Evelina completed an additional 200-hour teacher training with Elvis Garcia and Lara Ederer. Evelina specializes in private yoga sessions, in which she works one-on-one with a student to help fulfill their personal goals. Private sessions are ideal for all students of yoga, and can be particularly helpful to beginners seeking foundational instruction, those wishing to modify a practice due to injury or illness, as well as seasoned practitioners who want to learn or refine more advanced postures.
Evelina is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Nutrition at the University of Washington. Off the mat, she is passionate about holistic health and wellness, finding bliss in the sunshine, and spending time with cats.
